Twenty-five years ago, we opened a coffee shop in the quiet, little town of Paradise in Northern California. Paradise. No, really, that's the name. Not only did we love coffee, we loved roasting it. We loved our town’s beautiful scenery, our quirky, lovable friends, our customers and the joy it all brought us. Eight years ago, we wanted to pursue our idea of producing a Nitro coffee that was not only bold, but smooth and went down like silk. After almost a year of experiments, we hit the jackpot with our Nor Cal Nitro. It was everything we were aiming for. Putting it on tap was a huge success, other coffee shops in the area began to want it, we began wholesaling it, and we grew. We soon began canning and distributing our coffee to local grocery stores.
Then, on November 8, 2018, disaster hit. Paradise, California along with other surrounding communities were almost wiped off the map in the tragic Camp Fire. We gathered our two dogs and two garbage bags of clothes and luckily escaped unharmed — but like many others — lost everything. We lost our cafe, our roasting and canning facilities, and our home. We came out beaten, but not out. It was time to buckle-up, and we reset in the neighboring town of Chico. We built a state-of-the-art Roastery with a lot more room and with a continued passion to forge on. All of our customers stuck by us, and we are eternally grateful. We look forward to serving Northern California in the years to come with the best tasting Nitro coffee you can find.
