MR. NORBERTO F. CISNEROS was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S Air Force. Four years later, he received an honorable discharge. After completing his service in 1961, he enrolled at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music, majoring in composition. Later he studied at Chouinard School of Art in Los Angeles, CA.

In addition to writing poetry, short stories and plays, Mr. Cisneros' talents extend to music and art. Norberto's poetry has been published throughout the USA, most recently by the University of Indiana. One of his short stories won first place in a Texas statewide short story writing contest.

Norberto F. Cisneros' art is nothing if not unique. Drawing upon his Mexican-American heritage for inspiration, his work exudes stunning, almost explosive color. In graphic designs and representational renderings, Norberto Cisneros has a natural designer's eye, which enables him to divide space into lines and shapes that seem predetermined by universal order.

Norberto's designs range from Southwest landscapes, red rock mountains, desert plants to mystical impressions of alternate universes, Native-American geometric styles, and even children's art.
